GREAT NEWS RE OFFICIAL TAX RECEIPTS
We are very pleased to advise that, after the completion of a comprehensive review, the Township of Muskoka Lakes has determined that donations to the Walker’s Point Library will again be eligible for an official tax receipt.
The financial support of donors is essential to the continued operation of our Library and to maintain the quality service and up-to-date collection that is so valued by our members and community.
When you are considering your donations for this year we hope you will remember your Library and know that, combined with the Township’s commitment to matching, your donation goes twice as far.
Cheques should be made payable to Walker’s Point Library and mailed c/o 1350 Walker’s Point Rd. Gravenhurst, ON, P1P 1R2 or donations can also be dropped off at the Library.
[Please include the name and address you want to appear on the tax receipt.]

HELEN ADELE FAIRFIELD
The Walker’s Point Community Library family mourns the loss of a true friend, a champion, a mentor, an advisor, and a dedicated volunteer. Indeed, if you look up ‘Library’ in the dictionary you might find Adele’s picture…or at least you should. Her dedication to libraries was no more evident than in 2011, when Adele, alongside a small group of volunteers, lobbied successfully for the Walker’s Point Community Library to continue to operate. Since that time her support and commitment to our Library and the Walker’s Point community never waned. She has served as vice-chair of the library board, Township Council liaison, fundraising coordinator, newsletter editor, and volunteer librarian.
Rest in peace, Adele.
You will be missed.
Welcome
